The Makita 18V LXT® Brushless Cordless 24” Hedge Trimmer (model XHU07Z, tool only) is part of Makita’s wide range of cordless outdoor power equipment. The XHU07Z Hedge Trimmer has a 24" blade for increased cutting capacity and a 5-position rotating handle for increased comfort when trimming vertically or at an angle. A Makita-built brushless motor delivers 4,400 SPM for faster cutting speed when set on the high speed option.

The cordless XHU07Z has zero emissions and reduced maintenance: there's no engine oil to change, no spark plug to replace, and no air filter or muffler to clean. And there's no need to drain the fuel for storage. Simply pickup your XHU07Z, load an 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion battery (sold separately), and the trimmer is ready to use.

Star Protection Computer Controls™

STAR is communications technology that monitors conditions during use, allowing the tool and battery to exchange data to protect against overloading, overdischarging and overheating. If STAR detects conditions that threaten to overload, overdischarge or overheat the tool or battery, the tool will automatically stop. At that time the user can either restart the tool, change or charge the battery, and put the tool back to work. When you slide a Makita 18V LXT® battery with the STAR symbol onto a Makita tool that has either the STAR symbol or a yellow terminal, you are benefitting from STAR Protection Computer Controls™.

XPT™ Extreme Protection Technology
