Verado Performance Data

Lightweight & Efficient

On the water, there are perceptions and there's performance. V10 Verado outboards are calibrated to deliver raw performance on 87-octane fuel. A closed-loop fuel system and Advanced Range Optimization (ARO) maximize range and efficiency, while an aluminum engine block and lightweight cowl reduce transom load to further enhance performance.

Quiet & Smooth

Industry-leading technology works to minimize noise, vibration and harshness to ensure that V10 Verado outboards deliver an uncompromising boating experience that delights the senses without overpowering them. At idle, cruise and wide-open throttle, V10 Verado outboards are significantly quieter than every other outboard in their class.

Thrilling Speed & Acceleration

V10 Verado redefines high-horsepower performance. The 350hp model is 17.8 seconds faster from 0 to top speed than a 350hp competitor, while the 425hp Verado can beat a 450hp competitor out of the hole on a heavily-loaded boat.

Verado Advantage

Comfort

The Mercury-exclusive Advanced MidSection (AMS) isolates the powerhead to deliver a smoother, quieter ride than ever before. It’s comfort in a class of its own.

Features may include:

Effortless Operation

• Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS) controls deliver smooth, quiet shifting and instant throttle response, with zero hesitation. You can further enhance handling and performance with available Electric Steering for multi-engine boats. Whisper-quiet and ultra-responsive, the system consumes less than half the electrical power as electro-hydraulic steering. (Single-engine Electric Steering coming later this year.)

Adaptive Speed Control

• The Adaptive Speed Control feature lets you maintain engine rpm despite changes in load or conditions. Climbing large swells is easier. Cruising at low speeds is smoother. Carving out tight turns is effortless. You just point the bow toward your destination, and Verado takes it from there.

Precision Gearcase

• At high speeds, the hydrodynamic gearcase slips effortless through the water, maximizing efficiency and enhancing stability. At low speeds, its large-diameter Revolution X™ prop powerfully grips the water, giving you confident, authoritative handling around the docks, while providing instant hole shots when it’s time to move.

Exceptionally Smooth & Quiet

• The rugged, refined Advanced MidSection (AMS) mounting system cradles the powerhead to isolate vibration, while careful tuning dampens induction sounds and nearly eliminates injection noise. So you can enjoy your conversations and cruise with comfort.

Advanced Sound Control

• Choose the sound that moves you with the industry-exclusive Advanced Sound Control feature. It lets you toggle between a whisper-quiet exhaust tone or a throatier growl at startup and idle, for those times you truly want to hear the horsepower.

Enhanced Acceleration

• The latest 350hp Verado outboard has been performance tuned to deliver an even greater mid-range punch, resulting in 15% faster 0-50 mph acceleration compared to the original V10 350hp outboard. It’s also 17.8 seconds faster from 0 to top speed than a 350hp competitior.
