FEATURES

OVERVIEW

The Turfco Edge started with listening to what frustrates superintendents when it comes to topdressing. We heard they were tired of doing wheel-to-wheel spreads, overlapping spreads, dealing with complicated mechanical adjustments, and wasting time checking in with their crews to verify spread settings.

The WideSpin™ 1550 solves these problems, and more. Calculating and knowing your rates is easier. Adjusting settings is easier. Saving preferred settings is easier. Loading is easier. Topdressing greens, approaches and tees at the same time is easier. And getting the exact spread you want, every time, is easier.

Our unique design makes it easy to get whatever width and rate you want, without having to do mechanical adjustments. You can save your preferred applications into four programmable presets, changing widths and rates on the fly, increasing productivity, eliminating guesswork and freeing up your time.

WideSpin 1550 Topdressers truck-mounted model was designed to fit all major turf vehicles. You can choose between Standard Electronic Control or upgrade to our patented digital Smart Controller. Standard Electronic Control models are easy to use and offer good value for the money. Smart Controller models offer rate calculation and programmable presets for greatest productivity and labor savings.

BEST SPREAD IN THE INDUSTRY

For the first time ever, you can set up and save your applications one time — then get your perfect spread every time. With Turfco’s patented technologies, you can reduce greens passes, minimize turf traffic, and get a more consistent spread.

REDUCED PASSES

Save time and reduce wear on your greens with Turfco's patented WideSpin™ edge-to-edge technology. Decrease the number of passes on your greens by up to 720 times per year* as compared to the wheel-to-wheel method. Improve productivity and save time; unique 30-foot wide, even spread makes it possible to cover an average-size green in just two passes. Dramatically reduce traffic on your greens, reducing the potential for soil compaction and hydraulic leaks. *18 greens, 10 times a year.

CALCULATE YOUR SPREAD

Know your application rates, calculate the rates you want, and determine how much material you need to budget with our on-board calculator. Smart Controller lets you save your preferred applications into four programmable presets, allowing you to switch between widths and rates as you move from greens to approaches to tees at the push of a button.

ADJUSTABLE SPINNER

Drive topdressing down into the turf canopy by adjusting the spinner angle, minimizing the need for brushing and eliminating variations in moisture content (spreads the same wet or dry).

LARGER HOPPER

Large, galvanized steel hopper has increased capacity and is wider, making it easier to fill and less often! Refill the hopper faster and with less spillage — has 20% greater capacity and wider opening fits an 80” bucket.
